In 1975 Antonis Panagopoulos from Edessa, met with C.Pikros in Zagreb (1rst Balkan Air
Games). He learned that some never-used Cavkas, built in KEA factory in the 50ies, were
still stored in Athens. They were inspected and flew again, using the registration numbers
of old non-existing Cavkas.
That is how Edessa aeroclub started soaring, by using outdated gliders.
Launching was by winch.
Ending the 70ies you could fly a "Mosquito" in Athens and a "Cavka" in
Edessa. Both were great.

Leon and Fivos Pikros on the Roda. They both flew solo on their 16s, and this was the case of many youngsters in Athens during the 80ies. So... we turn to the 80ies.
